I had a great idea - or maybe it was actually Phil's idea. Anyway, instead of me writing the captions for all of the images, i will auction them off, and let you idiots bid for them. This is a bit of a twist on what was done for the 1997 trip to Mt. Whitney. I suspect this plan will be equally disastrous.

Follow up - as expected, this plan was a complete disaster. No one put in a single bid (actually Phil did bid a stinky old hiking boot for something- gee, thanks Phil). Shameful. So, once again I have taken on the responsibility and provided all the captions for the images. 

The images here cover most of the first day of the adventure.
