Meet Ranger Richard. We ran into him the first day on the way to Lillian Lake, our first
camp for the trip. He was carrying a Nikon CoolPix 8400 camera, a very good choice
for a backpacking trip, and he and I talked a bit about digital photography.

Richard saw his mission as a ranger as "to educate trail users". No elaboration on this was given-
everyone can draw his own conclusions.
