The headlights on the
Westy failed halfway down, in the Baja Section, the Baja
equivalent of the Burmuda Triangle. Highlighted here is the
offending light switch.
On the way home, the
Westy experienced several other problems in the same 50 mile
section, located about halfway between Guerro Negro and Cataviña.
The gas guage started malfunctioning, going from indicating ¼
tank to empty in the course of about 5 miles. The grill trim
around the headlights came loose on one side. The van started
running very poorly. And the clutch failed.
It all made for a very
interesting trip. |
