Decker Island Burns Down

A fire broke out on nearby Decker Island earlier in the day, and was still in full swing when I was
driving home at 11:30pm. I stopped in the parking lot of Delta Windsurf, and took some pictures.

I stayed and watched for about an hour and a half, in disbelief as the fire advanced against a solid 25 mph
wind from the lee side of the island all the way to the water on the windward side. Essentially, the whole
island burned down, though the larger trees on the island were spared. From what I heard later, the
livestock on the island also managed to escape the flames.
