Two minutes ago, there was just the slightest hint of any wind, way on the north side of the lake. Now the wind line has reached halfway across the lake, and we can see lots of whitecaps on the far side. Within another 5 minutes, the wind has filled in all the way to us on the south shore.

 Incredibly, the wind has gone from about 2mph to nearly 30mph in less than 10 minutes.
