It's late November, and I'm headed to Folsom Lake, outside of Sacramento, to kiteboard in some predicted north winds with my friends Bret and John.

Pictured here is the Sacramento skyline, as seen from I-80 when coming from the San Francisco Bay Area. Notice the snowcapped Sierra Nevada mountains in the background. I'll have more to say about them later on.
