I decided to go to the King of the Bay contest on Saturday, in the hopes of getting some spectacular shots of the pro riders and my amateur friends. But the wind was non-existent early on, so the competition was officially canceled. It did come up enough later though for an expression session, as the event organizers called it. So I was able to get a few shots after all.

Due to the heavy overcast, I boosted the ISO up to 800 on my camera. This resulted in a bit of graininess in some of the images - my apologies.

Here, the competitor's kites are all pumped up and ready to go at the start of the event. If only there were some wind!
